👋 a message from neil.

"from a dorm room side project to 500,000 users, and now, a new chapter."

i started building intellecs.ai at 18, juggling computer science classes and a deep-seated frustration with the tools available to students. it was a side project, born from a desire to build something i wished i had.

coming from a third-world country where not finishing college is heavily scrutinized, the decision to drop out was terrifying. But at 19, I took that leap of faith and moved to Singapore to turn this project into a full-fledged business. We were incredibly fortunate to be backed by Antler, becoming the youngest-founded company in their portfolio.

what happened next was surreal. we grew to over 500,000 users from more than 130 countries. to every single person who tried us out and believed in our mission: thank you. i am eternally grateful for the community of passionate learners we built together.

but despite this incredible growth, we struggled to find a sustainable path to monetization. the truth is, building a business is hard, and passion alone doesn't keep the servers running.

after much consideration, i've made the difficult decision to shut down intellecs.ai. this isn't an ending, but a pivot. i'm taking the lessons learned to focus on new initiatives.

Thank you for being a part of our story.
